The San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office has filed charges against Jessica Lopez (Age 42 of Montclair) for attempted murder in Rancho Cucamonga.


CASE SYNOPSIS

On Friday, October 16, 2020 the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department responded to a report of attempted murder in the 9300 block of Buffalo Avenue in Rancho Cucamonga. Jessica Lopez was arrested.

After reviewing this case, our office has charged Ms. Lopez in violation of the following section of the California Penal Code:

Penal Code Section 664/187(a) – Attempted Murder (Felony)
Murder is the unlawful killing of a human being, or a fetus, with malice aforethought.

Penal Code Section 451(d) – Arson (Felony)
Arson of property is a felony punishable by imprisonment in the state prison for 16 months, two, or three years. For purposes of this paragraph, arson of property does not include one burning or causing to be burned his or her own personal property unless there is an intent to defraud or there is injury to another person or another person’s structure, forest land, or property.
