SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY, Calif. – The San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office filed charges against Edgar Ivan Galindo Diaz (35) of Apple Valley, the alleged driver of an side-by-side off road vehicle that was involved in a July 2, 2022 fatal hit and run crash that killed two children on an ATV in Apple Valley.

On July 12, 2022 defendant Galindo Diaz turned himself into California Highway Patrol, where he was booked on two counts of felony hit and run with bail set at $200,000.00. Galindo Diaz posted bail and was released from custody on July 13, 2022.

On July 14, 2022 our Office filed the following felony charges against defendant Galindo Diaz;

PC 192(c)(1) –Vehicular Manslaughter with Gross Negligence (victim 1)

VC 20001(b)(2) –Hit and Run Resulting in Death or Serious Injury (victim 1)

PC 192(c)(1) – Vehicular Manslaughter with Gross Negligence (victim 2)

VC 20001(b)(2) – Hit and Run Resulting in Death or Serious Injury (victim 2)

In addition to our filing, our Office requested a bail review at arraignment, which is set for Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at 8:30am at Victorville Superior Court department V9.
