The San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office has filed charges against Charles T. Christian (Age 47 of San Bernardino) for murder in San Bernardino.


CASE SYNOPSIS

On Saturday, April 17, 2021, deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department responded to the 7200 block of Tippecanoe Avenue in San Bernardino regarding a house fire. During the investigation, Charles T. Christian was arrested.

After reviewing this case, our office has filed charges against Mr. Christian for violating the following sections of the California Penal Code:

Penal Code Section 187(a) – Murder (Felony)
Murder is the unlawful killing of a human being, or a fetus, with malice aforethought.

Penal Code Section 451(a) – Arson Causing Great Bodily Injury (Felony)
A person is guilty of arson when he or she willfully and maliciously sets fire to or burns or causes to be burned or who aids, counsels, or procures the burning of, any structure, forest land, or property.
(a) Arson that causes great bodily injury is a felony punishable by imprisonment in the state prison for five, seven, or nine years.
