The San Bernardino County District Attorneys Offices’ mission is to pursue justice for victims of crime, as well as provide support for those victims through our victim services bureau. Regardless of whether a person is a prisoner in a custody setting, resident, or business owner, our office believes and practices our motto of “Equal Justice For All.” In regards to issues regarding the placement of inmates, this is a matter handled by the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation . We’re confident the CDCRs administration will take into account any and all safety and security concerns when making such decisions. In the event an inmate becomes the victim of a crime within our jurisdiction, and a report is forwarded to our office, we will be unbiased in our review of the case and determination of charges to be filed, if any.
