The San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office has charged Mark Redheffer (Age 49 of Fontana) with workers’ compensation fraud and other charges in Fontana.


CASE INFORMATION

The California Department of Insurance completed an investigation in which Mark Redheffer had committed violations of the California Insurance Code and California Penal Code relating to workers’ compensation fraud.

After reviewing this case, our office has filed charges against Mr. Redheffer for violation of the following sections of the California Insurance Code and California Penal Code:

Penal Code Section 550(b)(3) – Failure To Disclose Material Fact In Insurance Case (Felony)
(b) It is unlawful to do, or to knowingly assist or conspire with any person to do, any of the following:

(3) Conceal, or knowingly fail to disclose the occurrence of, an event that affects any person’s initial or continued right or entitlement to any insurance benefit or payment, or the amount of any benefit or payment to which the person is entitled.

Insurance Code Section 1871.4(a)(1) – Workers’ Compensation Insurance Fraud (Felony)
It is unlawful to do any of the following:
(1) Make or cause to be made a knowingly false or fraudulent material statement or material representation for the purpose of obtaining or denying any compensation, as defined in Section 3207 of the Labor Code.
