The San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office has filed charges against Manuel Jesus Blanquet (Age 37 of San Bernardino) for rape and other crimes in Fontana.
CASE SYNOPSIS
On Monday, February 22, 2021, officers from the Fontana Police Department responded to the 16200 block of Randall Avenue in Fontana regarding a rape. During the investigation, Manuel Jesus Blanquet was arrested.
After reviewing this case, our office has filed charges against Mr. Blanquet for violating the following sections of the California Penal Code:
Penal Code Section 209(b)(1) – Kidnapping To Commit Another Crime (Felony)
Any person who kidnaps or carries away any individual to commit robbery, rape, spousal rape, oral copulation, sodomy, or any violation of Section 264.1, 288, or 289, shall be punished by imprisonment in the state prison for life with the possibility of parole.
Penal Code Section 261(a)(2) – Forcible Rape (Felony)
Where it is accomplished against a person’s will by means of force, violence, duress, menace, or fear of immediate and unlawful bodily injury on the person or another.
Penal Code Section 289(a)(1)(A) – Sexual Penetration By Use Of Force (Felony)
Any person who commits an act of sexual penetration when the act is accomplished against the victim’s will by means of force, violence, duress, menace, or fear of immediate and unlawful bodily injury on the victim or another person shall be punished by imprisonment in the state prison for three, six, or eight years.
Penal Code Section 220(a)(1) – Assault With Intent To Commit A Felony (Felony)
Except as provided in subdivision (b), any person who assaults another with intent to commit mayhem, rape, sodomy, oral copulation, or any violation of Section 264.1, 288, or 289 shall be punished by imprisonment in the state prison for two, four, or six years.
