The San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office has filed charges against Percy Goodwill (Age 29 of Victorville) and Wesley Hargett (Age 19 of San Bernardino) for murder in San Bernardino.


CASE SYNOPSIS

On Thursday, March 11, 2021, officers from the San Bernardino Police Department responded to a local hospital regarding a victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the head, who subsequently died.  During the investigation, Percy Goodwill and Wesley Hargett were arrested.

After reviewing this case, our office has filed charges against Mr. Goodwill for violating the following sections of the California Penal Code:

Penal Code Section 187(a) – Murder (Felony)
Murder is the unlawful killing of a human being, or a fetus, with malice aforethought.

Penal Code Section 664/187(a) – Attempted Willful, Deliberate, And Premeditated Attempted Murder (Felony)
Murder is the unlawful killing of a human being, or a fetus, with malice aforethought.

Our office has charged Mr. Hargett for violating the following section of the California Penal Code:

Penal Code Section 29800(a)(1) – Possession Of A Firearm With Outstanding Felony Warrant (Felony)
Any person who has been convicted of a felony under the laws of the United States, the State of California, or any other state, government, or country, or of an offense enumerated in subdivision (a), (b), or (d) of Section 23515, or who is addicted to the use of any narcotic drug, and who owns, purchases, receives, or has in possession or under custody or control any firearm is guilty of a felony.
