SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY – The District Attorney’s Office has filed an amended complaint alleging twenty-two additional charges against Peter Anthony McGuire (59) of Chino Hills.

The new filing consists of the following five felony charges alleged for each month the victim was imprisoned;

Six counts of PC 206 – Torture

Six counts of PC 245(a)(1) – Assault with a Deadly Weapon

Six counts of PC 261 (a)(2) Forcible Rape

Six counts of PC 286(c)(2)(a) – Forcible Sodomy

Six counts of PC 287(c)(2)(a) – Forcible Oral Copulation

In addition, our Office charged PC 205 – Aggravated Mayhem and PC 236 – False Imprisonment by Violence for the entirety of the time the victim was held captive.

Defendant McGuire is set to appear for a pre-preliminary hearing at 08:30am July 27, 2022, at Rancho Cucamonga Superior Courthouse department R15.

June 11, 2022

SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY – On June 10, 2022, our Office received reports from Chino Hills Sheriff’s Station which led to ten felony charges filed against Peter Anthony McGuire (59) of Chino Hills. McGuire is accused of kidnapping, torturing, raping and disfiguring a woman he imprisoned in his Chino Hills home for six months. The victim escaped and was spotted by bystanders at a nearby park who alerted law enforcement. She is currently being treated at a local hospital for her injuries.

The San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office has filed the following felony charges against defendant McGuire:

(1) PC206 – TORTURE

(2) PC209(b)(1) – KIDNAPPING TO COMMIT ANOTHER CRIME

(3) PC207(a) – KIDNAPPING

(4) PC203 – MAYHEM

(5) PC245(a)(1) – ASSAULT WITH A DEADLY WEAPON

(6) PC236 – FALSE IMPRISONMENT BY VIOLENCE

(7) PC261(a)(2) – FORCIBLE RAPE

(8) PC286(c)(2)(A) – SODOMY BY USE OF FORCE

(9) PC287(c)(2)(A) – FORCIBLE ORAL COPULATION

(10) PC286(c)(2)(A) – SODOMY BY USE OF FORCE

The San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office has additionally filed special allegations for counts five through ten; personal infliction of great bodily injury, administering a controlled substance during commission of a sex crime, and infliction of great bodily injury during a sex offense.

McGuire fled from his home in Chino Hills, but due to the diligent investigative work of San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department and Sheriff’s Specialized Enforcement Division (SED) he was apprehended and taken into custody the morning of June 11, 2022.

McGuire is being held with no bail and is scheduled for arraignment Monday June 13, 2022 at 8:30am at Rancho Cucamonga Superior Court.
