The San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office has charged Steve Videl Cordero (Age 20 of Chino) with attempted murder.
CASE SYNOPSIS
On Tuesday, September 8, 2020, at about 9:27 pm, deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department initiated an investigation in the 11000 block of Norton Avenue in Montclair. During the investigation, Steve Videl Cordero was arrested.
After reviewing this case, our office has charged Mr. Cordero with violating the following sections of the California Penal Code:
Penal Code Section 664/187(a) – Attempted Murder (Felony)
Murder is the unlawful killing of a human being, or a fetus, with malice aforethought.
Penal Code Section 245(a)(1) – Assault With A Deadly Weapon (Felony)
Any person who commits an assault upon the person of another with a deadly weapon or instrument other than a firearm shall be punished by imprisonment in the state prison for two, three, or four years, or in a county jail for not exceeding one year, or by a fine not exceeding ten thousand dollars ($10,000), or by both the fine and imprisonment.
