SAN BERNARDINO Calif. –The San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office has filed a misdemeanor complaint against Blanca Gomez, a Victorville councilwoman and Robert Rodriguez from Victorville.

In our filing, three separate incidents occurred that resulted in these charges. On July 20, 2021, the following counts are alleged to have occurred at a City Council meeting in Victorville.

Gomez (45), has been charged with: Two counts of PC148(a)1 – Resisting, Obstructing or Delaying of Peace Officer and one count of PC403 – Disturbance of Public Meeting. Rodriguez (34), has been charged with one count of PC148(a)1 – Resisting, Obstructing or Delaying of Peace Officer, and one count of PC403 – Disturbance of Public Meeting.

On July 6, 2021, the following count that resulted in charges against Rodriguez, is alleged to have occurred at a City Council meeting in Victorville. One count of PC403 – Disturbance of Public Meeting.

On June 2, 2021, the final counts against Gomez and Rodriguez are alleged to have occurred in Victorville. Gomez has been charged with the following misdemeanors: One count of PC148(a)1 – Resisting, Obstructing or Delaying of Peace Officer and one count of PC242 – Battery. Rodriguez has been charged with the following misdemeanors: Two counts of PC148(a)1 – Resisting, Obstructing or Delaying of Peace Officer and one count of PC602(m) – Trespass by Entering and Occupying.

The letters of arraignment have been sent for both defendants for Jan. 4, 2022.
