SAN BERNARDINO Calif. –The San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office Consumer and Environmental Protection Unit, in conjunction with investigative consultants and the San Bernardino Police Department in their jurisdiction, conducted a sweep for illicit pharmaceuticals in the cities of San Bernardino and Rialto.

On Sept 30. 2021, the sweep was conducted at three locations, one in the 900 block north of Waterman Ave. in San Bernardino, one location in the 200 block of East Baseline Road in Rialto, and one location in the 200 block of West Foothill Blvd. Rialto.  

The sweep was conducted in order to protect the public from misbranded, counterfeit, or other illicit pharmaceutical. Many of these illicit pharmaceuticals contain ingredients that could harm or not produce the desired affect of legitimate medications.

Several of the medication discovered have also been used in non-approved method that could harm the public. During the sweep the Consumer and Environmental Protection Unit confiscated an estimated $500,00.00 dollars’ worth of illicit pharmaceuticals.
