SAN BERNARDINO Calif. – San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office has filed charges against Jeremie Cox, a now former San Bernardino County Sheriff Deputy for multiple counts of lewd acts upon a child.

Cox, (50) of Yucca Valley was arrested Friday Aug 17, 2021, by San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department for the continuous sexual abuse of a child.

On Sept. 21, 2021, San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office filed the following felony charges against Cox;

Seven counts of PC 288(c)(1) –Lewd acts upon a child age 14 or 15

Six counts of PC 287(b)(1) –Oral copulation of a person under 18

Six counts of PC 287(b)(2) –Oral copulation of a person under 16

Three counts of PC 286(b)(1) – Sodomy of a person under 18

One count of PC 326259(a) – Possession of a Machine Gun

Cox, a former deputy in the Desert/Mountain Courts Division in the Morongo Basin will have his case moved to Rancho Cucamonga Courthouse in order to prevent any conflicts with the courts or judges he previously worked with.

 If convicted, the above charges would require Cox to register as a sex offender in addition to his sentencing.

On Sept. 21, 2021, Cox appeared via video arraignment, and is scheduled for a pre-preliminary hearing Sept. 23, 2021, at 0830 at Rancho Cucamonga Superior Courthouse R19.

San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Dept. currently has Cox in custody, and the court ordered bail set at no bail.
