The San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office has filed charges against Antonio Michael Morales (Age 23 of Victorville) for attempted murder in Hesperia.


CASE SYNOPSIS

On Monday, May 31, 2021, deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department responded to the 11400 Block of Fashion Court in Hesperia regarding a report of a victim who had been shot. During the investigation, Antonio Michael Morales was arrested.

After reviewing this case, our office has filed charges against Mr. Morales for violating the following sections of the California Penal Code:

Penal Code Section 664/187(a) – Attempted Willful, Deliberate, And Premeditated Attempted Murder (Felony)
Murder is the unlawful killing of a human being, or a fetus, with malice aforethought.

Penal Code Section 245(a)(2) – Assault With A Firearm- Personal Use Of Firearm (Felony)
Any person who commits an assault upon the person of another with a firearm shall be punished by imprisonment in the state prison for two, three, or four years, or in a county jail for not less than six months and not exceeding one year, or by both a fine not exceeding ten thousand dollars ($10,000) and imprisonment.

Penal Code Section 29800(a)(1) – Possession Of Firearm By A Felon (Felony)
Any person who has been convicted of a felony under the laws of the United States, the State of California, or any other state, government, or country, or of an offense enumerated in subdivision (a), (b), or (d) of Section 23515, or who is addicted to the use of any narcotic drug, and who owns, purchases, receives, or has in possession or under custody or control any firearm is guilty of a felony.
