The San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office has filed charges against Sean Steven Scott Jr. (Age 24 of Adelanto) for lewd acts in Adelanto.
CASE SYNOPSIS
On Thursday, April 22, 2021, deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department responded to the 15000 block of Radford Ave. in Adelanto regarding a report of child molestation. During the investigation, Sean Steven Scott Jr. was arrested.
After reviewing this case, our office has filed charges against Mr. Scott for violating the following sections of the California Penal Code:
Penal Code Section 288(a) – Lewd Act Upon A Child Under Age 14 (Felony)
Except as provided in subdivision (i), a person who willfully and lewdly commits any lewd or lascivious act, including any of the acts constituting other crimes provided for in Part 1, upon or with the body, or any part or member thereof, of a child who is under the age of 14 years, with the intent of arousing, appealing to, or gratifying the lust, passions, or sexual desires of that person or the child, is guilty of a felony and shall be punished by imprisonment in the state prison for three, six, or eight years.
Penal Code Section 288.7(b) – Oral Copulation or Sexual Penetration With Child 10 Years Old or Younger (Felony)
Any person 18 years of age or older who engages in oral copulation or sexual penetration, as defined in Section 289, with a child who is 10 years of age or younger is guilty of a felony and shall be punished by imprisonment in the state prison for a term of 15 years to life.

Penal Code Section 288.7(a) – Sexual Intercourse or Sodomy With Child 10 Years Old or Younger (Felony)
Any person 18 years of age or older who engages in sexual intercourse or sodomy with a child who is 10 years of age or younger is guilty of a felony and shall be punished by imprisonment in the state prison for a term of 25 years to life.
