The San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office has charged Shawn William Smith (Age 40 of Victorville) with domestic violence in Victorville.
CASE SYNOPSIS
On Tuesday, March 9, 2021, deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department responded to the 15400 block of Nisqualli Road in Victorville regarding a disturbance. During the investigation, Shawn William Smith was arrested.
After reviewing this case, our office has charged Mr. Smith for violating the following section of the California Penal Code:
Penal Code Section 273.5(a) – Injuring A Spouse, Cohabitant, Fiance, Boyfriend, Girlfriend Or Child’s Parent (Felony)
Any person who willfully inflicts corporal injury resulting in a traumatic condition upon a victim described in subdivision (b) is guilty of a felony, and upon conviction thereof shall be punished by imprisonment in the state prison for two, three, or four years, or in a county jail for not more than one year, or by a fine of up to six thousand dollars ($6,000), or by both that fine and imprisonment.
