The San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office has filed charges against Jason Michael Halcomb (Age 30 of Wonder Valley) for assault in Morongo.
CASE SYNOPSIS
On Thursday, February 11, 2021, deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department located a suspect at the 80000 block of Mesa Drive in Wonder Valley regarding an assault. During the investigation, Jason Michael Halcomb was arrested.
After reviewing this case, our office has filed charges against Mr. Halcomb for violating the following sections of the California Penal Code:
Penal Code Section 273.5(a) – Injuring A Spouse, Cohabitant, Fiancé, Boyfriend, Girlfriend Or Child’s Parent (Felony)
Any person who willfully inflicts corporal injury resulting in a traumatic condition upon a victim described in subdivision (b) is guilty of a felony, and upon conviction thereof shall be punished by imprisonment in the state prison for two, three, or four years, or in a county jail for not more than one year, or by a fine of up to six thousand dollars ($6,000), or by both that fine and imprisonment.
Penal Code Section 245(a)(1) – Assault With A Deadly Weapon (Felony)
Any person who commits an assault upon the person of another with a deadly weapon or instrument other than a firearm shall be punished by imprisonment in the state prison for two, three, or four years, or in a county jail for not exceeding one year, or by a fine not exceeding ten thousand dollars ($10,000), or by both the fine and imprisonment.
