The San Bernardino District Attorney’s Office has charged Kellina Rose Matthews (Age 26 of Victorville) with attempted murder.


CASE SYNOPSIS

On February 4, 2021, deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department responded to Victor Valley Global Medical Center. A victim was being treated for stab wounds, which he sustained in the 13900 block of Victoria Drive in Victorville. During the investigation, Kellina Rose Matthews was arrested.

After reviewing this case, our office has filed charges against Ms. Matthews for violating the following sections of the California Penal Code:

Penal Code Section 664/187 – Attempted Murder (Felony)
Murder is the unlawful killing of a human being, or a fetus, with malice aforethought.

Penal Code Section 245(a)(1) – Assault With A Deadly Weapon (Felony)
Any person who commits an assault upon the person of another with a deadly weapon or instrument other than a firearm shall be punished by imprisonment in the state prison for two, three, or four years, or in a county jail for not exceeding one year, or by a fine not exceeding ten thousand dollars ($10,000), or by both the fine and imprisonment.
