The San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office has filed charges against Edward Claude Apodaca, Jr., (Age 42 of Apple Valley) for assault with a deadly weapon and false imprisonment with violence in Victorville.


CASE SYNOPSIS

On Wednesday, November 18, 2020, deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department went to Eva Dell Park at 15714 1st Street in Victorville regarding an assault investigation. During the investigation, Edward Claude Apodaca, Jr., was arrested.

After reviewing this case, our office has filed charges against Mr. Apodaca, for violating the following sections of the California Penal Code:

Penal Code Section 245(a)(1) – Assault With A Deadly Weapon (Felony)
Any person who commits an assault upon the person of another with a deadly weapon or instrument other than a firearm shall be punished by imprisonment in the state prison for two, three, or four years, or in a county jail for not exceeding one year, or by a fine not exceeding ten thousand dollars ($10,000), or by both the fine and imprisonment.

Penal Code Section 236 – False Imprisonment (Felony)
False imprisonment is the unlawful violation of the personal liberty of another.
