Last week, five employees of the San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office in San Bernardino tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. Those employees are quarantining at home and measures have been taken to help keep other employees safe to help prevent the spread of the virus in the office. Out of respect for their privacy, we will provide no further information about those affected.
Since the beginning of the COVID-19 Pandemic, the district attorney’s office has taken steps to help limit the spread of the virus. The staff have been encouraged to follow the guidelines provided by the Centers For Disease Control. Employees are required to practice social distancing, wearing of masks in the workplace, and mandatory daily temperature checks when arriving at work. On Saturday, June 6, 2020, an extensive COVID-19 cleaning protocol was used to sanitize the San Bernardino office location through the use of a specialized team.
Operations within our office have not been affected by this incident. Our executive staff is in contact with the affected employees to make sure they are receiving the necessary support and care to help them during this time.
